Where in the hell are you? Looking at you Browncoats! I expect so much more from you. How can Joss Whedon be losing to Marlowe. Really? Marlowe? Yeah, he cast Nathan Fillion. But guess who did it first and, in my opinion, for a way better character? Mr. Joss Whedon. So get your butts to this link and vote dammit!
PS: Also vote for Moffat. It would be fantastic to have a showdown between him and Joss.
Mate, I entirely respect your right to have that opinion, but perhaps it was a little unnecessary to insult Marlowe just to get your message across. I happen to love both Firefly and Castle, and in fact, I would have likely never seen the former had it not been for the latter. Honestly, I’m always grateful to Castle for introducing me to something I may not have spared time for otherwise— and, of course, I love both shows to a great degree, each for different reasons.
But, as a blog that is somewhat prominent in the Firefly fandom (and who undoubtedly has followers who, like myself, are also huge Castle fans) it seems as though you should be taking a stand in promoting good behaviour, unity and positive fandom interaction, rather than using language that could easily incite arguments and fights. A simple “Here is a poll. Current vote count shows Marlowe leading against Joss” would have been much more appropriate and yet just as effective in leading people to take part and place their vote.
Really, all I mean to say is that I believe that you— in fact, all of us— need to take a moment to think before we speak. Fairness and acceptance garner respect; pointless hate-broadcasting does not. Comparisons and competitiveness honestly do not benefit anyone, and only detract from inter-fandom relationships.
As for the poll itself, no matter the results, I personally believe that all of the nominees are equally worthy, and each has made a huge contribution to the television and online world. Every single one of these people deserve our respect and gratitude— not contempt and criticism— and no online poll results are ever going to lessen the amazing work they have done.
I’m sick of this Castle is wrong Beckett is right..Beckett is wrong Castle is right drama. The fact is that this misunderstanding is making for great drama and we are seeing sides of these characters we haven’t seen before. Beckett is opening up more and more and actually talking about her…
…to have a main couple that is portrayed as beautifully and realistically as Castle and Beckett. I don’t know how many shows you’ve watched before Castle or how many couples you’ve shipped before Caskett, but let me tell you: I’ve been shipping couples since 1993 (yes, I’m ancient) and I have…
Except, well, you just did. Ladies and gentlemen of the Castle fandom, I have but one thing to add regarding the above post, and that is: THIS.
Seriously, THIS. Everything about it. Perfectly described, perfectly delivered, just perfect.
Yes. All of this. The only other thing that really got to me was the scene at the reaping where everyone does the salute. It happened much too quickly and had absolutely none of the emotional impact that it did in the book. Also, on a somewhat related note, how hard would it have been to find a ginger cat? Haha but on the whole it was pretty good.
